Illustrative profile review checklist

What matters for your digital presence.

Accurate profiles

Keep your locations, services and descriptions consistent.

Relevant platforms

Focus on directories that matter to your type of care.

Ongoing oversight

Monitor agreed changes and review opportunities responsibly.

Connected information

Make directory details consistent with your website.

Built for real care businesses, not generic templates.

Practical decisions, clear scope, considered design and reliable information.

Families look beyond your website

Prospective clients may use specialist care directories, local search results and third-party profiles to research providers.

An incomplete service description or outdated contact detail can undermine a good first impression.

Keep profile information accurate

We review descriptions, locations, services, contact details, links and suitable photography. Our priority is making information useful and consistent with your approved website content.

The relevant platforms vary between residential care homes and home care agencies.

Platforms and profile access

Depending on your provider type, profiles might include Carehome.co.uk, Homecare.co.uk, Autumna, Lottie and Google Business Profile.

Listings, account permissions and available features are controlled by those platforms. We do not claim official partnerships or direct control over them.

Responsible review management

Reviews help people understand other families’ experiences. We can support appropriate review response processes and accurate information updates.

We do not manufacture testimonials or pressure people to leave misleading feedback.

Directory visibility and your site

Your profiles and website should tell the same story. Directory work can sit alongside local SEO and ongoing website management, or be commissioned on its own. Coordinating approved updates helps families find consistent care information on the website and relevant profiles.

Use the directory comparison to assess platform fit and questions about terms, then the Carehome.co.uk profile checklist to review a home’s factual information.

How profile work is agreed and checked

Start with the homes or agencies, relevant platforms and the profiles your business controls. You nominate an approver and provide authorised access and an approved record of services, contacts, imagery and coverage. We agree the profiles, changes and review frequency before starting.

We record requested edits, check what the platform publishes and test available website links and enquiry destinations. Platform approval, paid features, subscription or introduction fees and response times remain outside our control. A website update or SEO campaign is not automatically included.

Can you manage more than one care home?

Yes, subject to the number of profiles and agreed scope.

Do directories charge their own fees?

Some do. Platform memberships, advertising upgrades and other fees are separate unless explicitly agreed.
